SORTERS SUPPORT PROGRAM

SSP Launched at Bauan

The launching of Sorters Support Program (SSP) at Municipality of Bauan was held yesterday, July 12, at Barangay Poblacion 2 Covered Court and participated by LGU’s garbage collectors, waste sorters and utility workers.

Upon the directives of Mayor Ryanh Dolor and in partnership with Tetra Pak Philippines, this program was initiated to reduce the volume of waste materials through segregation and recycling. It was also a way to introduce our waste sorters the benefits of recyclable items such as the “used beverage cartons” (UBC) that can be manufactured into various serviceable things. The program trains the participants to establish the proper segregation and collection system of waste materials.

Present during the launching were Vice Mayor Ronald Cruzat, Celio Francia (MLGOO) and Mavelle De Leon (MENRO) from LGU Bauan, barangay captains together with other barangay functionaries, and representatives from PGENRO.

At the end of the program our garbage collectors, sorters and utility workers were handed a kit from Tetra Pak Phils.
