Gender and Development (GAD)

LGU Bauan headed by Mayor Ryanh Dolor together with Vice Mayor Ronald Cruzat and SB Members, Municipal Department Heads, Assistant DHeads and Section Chiefs conducted Skills Enhancement Training for GAD Focal Point Systems last October 18-20, 2022 at Sta. Rosa City, Laguna. It was facilitated by the MPDO headed by Engr. Melvin B. Arevalo.

EnP Celio Francia, Bauan MLGOO, deliberated on several topics which included Safe Spaces Act (RA 11313); Legal Mandates as Basis for GAD Implementation; Review on GAD Planning, Budgeting and GAD Accomplishment Report; and Child-Friendly Local Governance Audit. Discussions on the second day included issues on Gender Sensitivity, Analysis and Mainstreaming by Mr. Philip Amiel Lopez, Planning Officer of POPCOM. Whereas, participants were highly engaged during workshop and presentation of their outputs.

The 3-day skills training aims to monitor and evaluate all programs, projects and activities being implemented and other plans that shall be implemented to address concerns on gender equality, gender issues and women empowerment.
